Meet Cynthia Hall, a luscious brunette from Hinsdale, Illinois. “Currently, I'm a Playboy Bunny at the Playboy Club in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, but I used to work as a dental assistant,” says Cynthia. “If I had more time, I’d learn how to sail, and do more horseback riding.” Free time has been a rarity in the petite beauty’s world ever since she moved to Wisconsin because of the lack of job opportunities for dental assistants in her hometown. “I just decided to pack up for my favorite vacation spot, southern Wisconsin, and see if I couldn't find some kind of job there,” adds Cynthia who applied for a job as a Bunny at the Playboy Club’s Lake Geneva resort and was hired immediately. “I think it's been good for me, too. I used to be shy, but no more. Meeting so many new people has cured me of that. I'd love to do more modeling, and to live a full and exciting life. And Lake Geneva is the perfect setting for an outdoor girl like me. I've always been crazy about riding and the stables here at the resort are just fine. I'm also getting a chance to learn a lot more about sailing.” With Playboy Club members and her Bunny Mother singing her praises since her first day on the job, Playboy executives had to see the voluptuous brunette for themselves. They were far from disappointed and asked all-natural Cynthia to pose for the magazine’s Bunnies of 1970 feature which led to her becoming our Miss March 1971. “I'm just lucky, I guess,” says our bashful Playmate of the Month. “Things seem to have a way of working out for me.” Now that she’s taken over Bunnydom at Lake Geneva and has been crowned our Miss March 1971, there is one thing for her to do now—study. “I'd visited college campuses in the Midwest before, but never an Ivy League school,” says Cynthia of her Dartmouth campus visit. “I was afraid the students would be either very aloof—you know, snobbish socialite types—or a bunch of bearded radicals. Well, I was wrong on both counts. Most of the guys I met, particularly those studying law or pre-med, seemed to be quite concerned about their educational progress; yet they put their books aside on the weekend to relax. They were very friendly and certainly not revolutionaries.” While attending an Ivy League school in New England will be a huge change from the hustle and bustle of working on a resort, our Miss March 1971 says she’s almost ready to take that chance and focus on earning her degree. “Every so often, I really wish I could just get away and spend some time in a quieter atmosphere. Even though it's great to be able to see top singers or comedians performing every night here, you can begin to feel overexposed to the nonstop entertainment scene. You enjoy it until you realize that you're reaching the point where you're just pretending to have a good time,” she explains. “I really think that someday I might consider moving to New Hampshire, or maybe Vermont. Certainly one could find plenty of places there to enjoy a little solitude.” We’re sure plenty of New Englanders will be more than happy to call Cynthia Hall their neighbor.
